Hancocks opens in Leeds

Posted on 21st February, 2013

Great news! We are adding to our list of confectionery cash and carries across the UK and opening our doors in Leeds on 24 March 2013. The new depot will offer a wide selection of wholesale confectionery to independent businesses that choose to register with us. We’d love to see you there if that’s nearby for you!

Hancocks in Leeds can be found just off junction one of the M621, next to Leeds United football ground. This is the first of a smaller format depot for us at just 7,500 square feet. We will pack it full of all your favourites though, including pick and mix sweets, our many exclusive ranges, selected branded confectionery (excluding the main brands), seasonal confectionery and selected drinks and snacks.

The new Leeds depot is just a stone’s throw from Booker too, which will mean that many independent retailers can do their grocery shopping in Booker and pop to Hancocks for a range of different confectionery, making their trip out far more effective and time efficient.

Open five days a week, we’ll give you a warm welcome and plenty of wholesale sweets and chocolates to choose from. Here is the full address for Hancocks in Leeds:

Glad your opening more Depots, but i won’t be using the leeds one. I live in Cambridgeshire and currently travel for an hour each way up to the coventry depot approx once a month, and do a big shop.
Wish that you would open one in Cambridge or Peterborough – there are loads of independant businesses in the cambridgeshire area, and then i could shop with you on a more regular basis.

Hello Peter, many thanks for your comments and your business. Leeds is a more compact concept for Hancocks and might be the answer to opening further depots in areas where the catchment is not sufficient to support a full size depot. In the meantime we know that the ecommerce website goes some way to helping businesses that are not close enough to one of our depots. We have a number of customers in the Norfolk area for example that travel to one of our depots every so often and top up using the website service in between visits. Perhaps that formula could give you the best of both worlds for now? Rest assured that Hancocks will open more depots when it can though!

Hello Adele, just pop in to our Leeds cash and carry, taking two forms of business ID with you (bank statements, utility bills etc) and they will help you to set up a trade account. You can start shopping straight away!

Hello Jade apologies for the delayed reply. Generally it’s things like business bank account statements and business utility bills. Please phone the depot you wish to register with and they will chat it through with you so that you can arrive with the correct paperwork, many thanks.
