The branch [of Hancocks] I would like to provide feedback on is the Newcastle branch which is based in Drum Lane industrial estate near to Chester Le Street. I would like to pass on my thanks to the team there. I have been trading for a year now and could not have done this without the help of the managers Tony and Dave and their team. Not only are they knowledgeable about the products they supply but they are always pleasant and approachable. If I have a query (which is quite often) they will always help. The managers always point out their special offers to me and the warehouse is always stocked.
I sell American candy in the shop and the products they supply have increased and are varied. Again this has helped my business to expand. Could you please pass on my thanks and appreciation to the team.

I am writing to you to inform you of the experience we have had dealing with one of your employees at the Manchester branch of Hancocks. We are a new customer to Hancocks and new to the world of confectionery and so, as you can probably imagine, we visited Hancocks completely in the dark, with no idea of how, who or what we should do!
At that time, we hadn’t actually decided to lease a building or to establish a sweet shop and in truth, the visit to Hancocks was preceded with a phone call to, “Test the Water” and to see what prices were like etc.
It was after speaking with the manageress, Gemma, who dealt with our call, that we decided a visit to Hancocks was appropriate and upon our arrival, Gemma was unbelievable. She was patient, kind and dealt with us professionally and with so much empathy, she more or less gave us the confidence to proceed with our proposed new venture! So, I would like to congratulate you on your choice of manageress, Gemma is an asset to your company.
Just so you know, we have now opened our sweet shop and even though we are now familiar with how things work when purchasing confectionery, Gemma is still on hand with the same committed attitude to assist when needed. We really wouldn’t have entered into the sweet shop market without Gemma’s help and guidance and advice.

Dear Mr Watson,
I would like you to forward on to the staff at Bradford Hancocks Depot my gratitude for dealing with a recent request on my behalf in sourcing a sample of Liquorice slab. I am aware your buyers were also involved and would like to thank them. I required this sample for a forthcoming TV programme on Channel 4 where I am the expert contributor discussing the background and history of liquorice (I am a regular TV confectionery expert and will be again appearing on the BBC in September, you can view our website to see my CV).
Linda the manager in particular I know pulled out all the stops to achieve a result in a tight deadline for me. I am of course grateful to Mike Turner at Tangerine for facilitating and achieving the request. I have been dealing with Hancocks for many years and I am always impressed on my weekly visits that the staff always seem happy, helpful and diligent.
Linda (and of course all the other staff at Bradford, all of whom I would like to mention by name but of course there are quite a few,) and Steve always assists with my many and varied requests in relation to sweets, quite often at short notice. I cannot praise their professionalism and approach enough and therefore felt I should make you aware they are great ambassadors for your business, work great as a team and I would like you to pass on my heartfelt thanks to all of them in particular Linda from all of us at the Oldest Sweet Shop.
We recently visited your Dundee depot as we were setting up an ice cream & confectioners in Inverurie Aberdeenshire and I cannot praise John & Danny enough. Their customer care is second to none. Nothing was a problem to them. They showed us round, gave us a coffee, helped us pack the car and gave us great advice. They are a real asset to your company and made our visit there very enjoyable!!
I was so impressed by them that I felt I had to contact you to inform you. Please pass on our appreciation.

We are writing to let you know that after 20 years in business, we have decided to retire. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to you all for your support, kindness and concern over the years.
We have thoroughly enjoyed coming in to do the cash and carry and our interactions with you all over the years. We have been most appreciative of all the help you have given us recently, during our bouts of ill health and we wanted to let you know that your support and kindness gave us the encouragement and strength to continue during this difficult time. With kind regards WELL DONE and thank you for the superb service!!! I just wanted to say that I have just had my first visit to Hancocks Portsmouth and what an exceptional visit it was! I emailed the branch yesterday to enquire about registration details and received a reply from Kevin very quickly. Today I visited the branch and shopped/registered very quickly…hassle free! ALL the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful from the deputy branch manager to the floor staff and checkout staff…truly a rarity in today’s world!
“We are always quick to complain and moan aren’t we? Sad but true. Can I just say how helpful your “team” is?
In particular Paul (at Cardiff). He always greets me with a cheerful “Hello Martin!” BUT TODAY!! After I thanked him for helping to load the van he said, “no worries, you pay my wages!”

I am a client of Hancocks Reading and I would just like to say how extremely happy I am with the service I receive from the branch manager Ted and all the staff at theReading branch. It is an absolute pleasure to deal with Ted and after visiting the other day, I was also very impressed with how immaculately clean the warehouse is kept and how all the staff were so eager and wiling to answer all the questions I had.

I came in yesterday for the first time as I am the new owner of a registered business. I just wanted to let you know how lovely, helpful and efficient Leanne [Preston depot] is. Her customer service is second to none and I will definitely return for more stock in the future. People like Leanne make all the difference.
She rang and left a message on my voicemail as I need some of the Victorian jars which she remembered and rang to let me they’re now in stock. Please can you keep a box for me and I will endeavour to call in asap for them.
