Starting the New Year as we mean to go on, Hancocks is opening a new cash and carry in Rochester on 1st March 2015. We’re committed to developing our wholesale confectionery business in as many ways as we can, bringing our massive range of sweets and chocolates to retailers and businesses across the UK. With the South East currently being served by our Croydon and Watford branches, Rochester will be a very useful third site in the south of the region.
Kent is a previously untouched location for Hancocks and with our new site located close to one of the busiest Booker depots in the country, we know that this is an excellent location for independent retailers wishing to buy their supplies.
Hancocks Rochester will open on 1st March 2015 on Maidstone Road, the Airport Industrial Estate in Rochester, just a mile from the M3 (junction 3). At 14,000 square feet, it will house no less than 5,000 branded and own label confectionery products in what was formally a large Comet electrical store.
Having worked at Hancocks Liverpool for two years, Chris Griffiths, has made the move down south to manage the Rochester cash and carry, and a local team will join him in the running of the store. With plenty of experience in the confectionery industry, Chris will be bringing Hancocks’ high level of customer service with him to Rochester.
Be sure to look out for the selection of strong promotions that will be launching the new cash and carry. You can click here to see our countdown for the store opening, updating you on the creation of the cash and carry, from the shell of a building to opening day.
