The iconic treat that launched America's favorite candy company, Tootsie Roll, the Tootsie Roll Bar offers a perfectly-balanced cocoa taste, lined with a subtle, fruit-flavored undertone, all incorporated into a delicious treat. The long-lasting, delightfully chewable candy has been made with the same classic recipe since 1896, when Leo Hirshfield, an Austrian immigrant, opened a small candy shop in New York City, producing the first individually wrapped penny candy from a recipe he brought from Europe.
