Celebrating 130 Years of Bonds

This year, Bonds of London celebrates 130 years of creating sweet memories! The iconic brand has been crafting the best-loved British sweets continuously since it was founded in 1895, with nostalgic favourites that ooze charm and character, winning the hearts of generations along the way.

Of course, the brand hasn’t gotten this far by standing still, but they do still use the original recipes in some of their best sellers! As one of the longest-standing British confectionery brands, Bonds has a range of more than 200 lines, including treats that appeal to a broad range of shoppers, from grandkids to great-grandparents!

Throughout the year, the storied sweet makers are celebrating in numerous ways. Firstly, the Happy Birthday Candy Cup! Packed to the brim with sweetshop favourites ranging from chocolatey classics to it-sweet bubblegum bottles, this mix is full of reasons to celebrate.

Bonds has partnered with Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir. The beloved Rhubarb & Custard, Butter Mintoes, Lemon Sherbets, and Pear Drops sweet bags have had a bit of a makeover in support of the charity, with each bag sold contributing a donation.

Despite being known for its range of nostalgic favourites, Bonds has never stood still. This is the case with this anniversary, too, as an all-new take on a sweetshop favourite will be landing soon. The Soft Sherbety Lemons encase the magic of their timeless namesake in a delightfully sour, chewy outer layer. Adding a new twist to the ever-popular Lemon Sherbets bag, this new addition is also 125g and has an RRP of £1.25, so it will slot seamlessly into Bonds’ iconic range of sweetshop favourites.
